What Could Dark Foul Urine And Bruises In Head Suggest In Children?

I have two questions: 1. My 2 year old daughter has very dark, smelly urine. It has only just started and she is drinking as much as she always has.2. My 5 month old son has a small bruise on his head that has not changed colour at all and has been there for 3 weeks, what could this be?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

1. The issue of 2 year daughter with dark, smelly urine is underlying urinary infection. Get her urine microscopy report done and consult in follow up with the report.
2. Bruise with persistence on head area can be delayed appearance of naevus or other congenital lesions.
I recommend to send a photo picture of the same for best evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
