What Could Liquids In Diarrhea Suggest?

i had bright red liquid in my diarrhea 3 days ago. I at first thought i started my period, but it wasn't my period. It was a lot of red liiquid. and I haven't had a bowel movement since. i was wondering if it could have been the red juice I drank earlier inthe day? or if I should be worried that it was blood and I should go see my GI Dr?
