What Could Stomach Pain With Hard Stool Movements During Pregnancy Suggest?
I am 9 weeks pregnant. I have been very sick-had to go to the emergency room about 4 days ago for dehydration and severe vomiting. Was prescribed Zoflan. Am now having sharp pain in my stomach and intestines. Have not been able to pass much stool. Did tonight small amount and it was accompanied by some reddish mucus.
You may be suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum. It leads to severe vomiting and dehydration and electrolyte loss, hypotension etcetera. Drink plenty of liquids as much you can, if vomiting not responding to above tablet need intravenous fluid administration. Mucous in the stools may be due to bacillary or amoebic infection. Need to consult your doctor as early as possible to take correct treatment for it.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
