What Could The Swelling And Bruising Underneath Ears Be While Suffering From Seizures?
My 42 yr old son has grand mal seizures as well as other special needs. He just fell into a french door. I heard the noise and found him slumped against the door as the seizure was progressing. I cradled his head, turning to the side and helped him thru it and as soon as possible checked him for injuries. He has a large bruise and swollen area just under his right ear. We found no other sign of impact on the head. He is becoming conscious as normal and his eyes will now follow and there is some normal (for him) response.. Should we take him to emergency which in itself is traumatic? Also moving him before he rests is not good as he becomes nauseous. I have just put ice on it. He is on Tegretol for seizures.
HI Thank for asking to HCM If it is grand mal epilepsy, then it has to be stop as soon the medicine started, if he is having such attack even after the medicine then it need to be confirm again for grand mal epilepsy, or else the dose of the drug has to be increased or switching over to another drug, you can have a words with doctor have nice day.
