Dietitian & Nutritionist 's  Response
Hello,
I am sorry to hear of your mother's condition. I must, in good faith, refer you to a Dietitian. Your mother's diet needs to be individualized and these diets are generally complicated and take some time to learn. I think it would be in your best interest to speak to a dietitian about a meal plan. The dietitian will need her labs as the diet will depend on what stage of kidney disease she has, the status of the wound where her leg was amputated, her typical diet and this is all best done while working with a dietitian. You may find online dietitians through zest.md. I hope I have pointed you in the right direction. Best Wishes, Kathryn Shattler, MS,RDN
