What Do Fat Globules Signify In A Stool Exam?
What do fat globules signify, first stool exam? Other stool exam findings are within normal; My son has 2 days on and off watery stools, about 3tbps to 1/2 cup per episode, with mild bloating, soft abdomen, no fever; he's complaining of headache though, on ORS and has been taking food as usual... thanks...

Greetings of the day
During episode of infective diarrhoea, there could be malabsorption of various nutrients. Fat malabsorption can cause appearance of fat globules in stool.
It is usually temporary and will subside.
You can give paracetamol for headache.
Continue ORS, probiotics can be added.
