What Does Missed Testicle In Sack With Other Testicle Being High Mean?

I have noticed that my 15 month old son does not have testicals in his sack, i felt around an found one up high but no sign of the other... for the last week he has been really unsettled crying constantly an whinging for no reason i can see. He has a runny nose an a cough but nothing serious. Im just wanting to know if this is a) serious b)the testicals will resovle on their own ect?? any information will be much helpful, thank you.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
Usually the testes will be inside the scrotum by birth.
If not at least by one year they will reach the scrotum.
Other wise it is called Ectopic testis.
The missing testis should be located and placed in its place surgically.
Otherwise it may lead to sterility and in rare cases malignant transformation.
