hi Doc, good afternoon.. I have a problem with my 1 year and 1 month old baby. she's experiencing diarrhea and I went to the hospital to test her stool... this is the result of fecalysis and I don't know what is the meaning of the results... PUS cells- 2-5/HPF; bacteria- moderate; RBC-2-4; Microscopic findings: POSITIVE FOR E. histolytica cyst 2-5/hpf... can you give me some answers regarding this pls.. thank you

Your babies stool examination findings suggest that she is suffering from Amoebic dysentery.
metronidazole or tinidazole may help.
