What Does Red Skin In My Stool Imply?

i've noticed something red skin in my stool. i'm having a hernia surgery in a week. was in the ER yesterday doctor took x-rays noticed large amount of stool in the pelvis area. But didn't think there was any blockage concern. i've had abn cramp,gas and bloating pain comes and goes like an ache. ER doctor gave me a laxative thinks i might be constip.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
     
It may not be the skin in stool. But it may be the food particle. It cannot be concluded that it is something else other than food particle, unless it is being proved. Of course, it can be constipation. I would suggest to consume more fiber containing diet and increase water intake before trying any laxative. No need to be over conscious if you do not pass the stool for a day.
