hi doctor, below given my sperm analysis result,may i know why i am taking carboxymethyl cysteine syrup & zithromazx capsule..

TOTAL SPERM COUNT: 65 MILLION/CU
ACTIVELY MOTILE: 55%
SLUGGLISHLY MOTILE : 25%
NON MOTILE : 20%
NORMAL SPERMATOZOA : 70%
ABNORMAL SPERMATOZOA : 30%
PUS CELLS: 10-12/hpf
RBC: 1-2/hpf
EPITHELIAL CELLS: 0-1/hpf
CLUMPS: ++please advice

The report suggests semen infection. Infection indicated by the presence of excess pus cells in semen. Few RBC in semen may be due to infection. Liquefaction time also increased due to infection
Infection of semen may be due to causes like prostatitis, urinary tract infection (UTI). You need investigations like routine hemogram, random blood sugar (RBS), ultrasound of pelvis, and scrotum. Proper antibiotics should be prescribed depending upon culture and sensitivity report of semen.
You need antibiotics for an infection. Rest of the findings like sperm count, motility, morphology, the volume of semen, and pH are normal.
