What Does Sperm Motility In The Semen Report Suggest?

Good afternoon doctor,I have got the semen analysis report and the details are given below.sperm count : 12 million / ml Liquification : 20 minutes Motility: Actively Motile : NIL Sulggishly Motile : 70% Non-Motile : 30% Morphology : pinhead As per the above report, could you please suggest whether I can father a child or improve the active motility. Please explain about my morphology status also.

Hello

Your semen analysis suggests low sperm count.Normally it should be at least 20 millions/ml.Your total sperm count is 12 millions/ml.

Motility is normal.Normally it should be at least 55 %.You have over all 70 % motility.

Percentage of normal morphology of sperms in not mentioned in your query.Only 16 % normal morphology sperms are required for natural fertilization.Few pin head sperms are normal.

Other findings like liquefaction time is normal.

You should take nutritious diet and do exercise.You may need further investigations like ultrasound,hormone assay etc.
If findings persists then you may need assisted fertilization techniques.
Don't worry.you can become father of a child.
