Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

The reports indicates low white cell count and anemia. Low blood count along with fever, cough, cold and tiredness usually indicates a viral respiratory illness as in flu. Most of these will need only supportive treatment with acetaminophen, an antihistamine and nasal decongestant. Usually, children will get better in 3-5 days. You need to take her back to doctor if fever continues beyond 4-5 days, nasal discharge is yellow/foul smelling, she develops breathing difficulty or if she is very lethargic and not feeding. Meanwhile, give plenty of fluids and a soft diet.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
