OBGYN 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. The sonogram report shows a fibroid tumor located below the serous layer of the uterus, a subserous fibroid. The endometrium is very much thickened suggestive of unopposed estrogen activity and needs further evaluation, preferably an endometrial biopsy through a hysteroscopy. The myoma can be left for observation if there are no clinical symptoms. If the menopausal age has been reached, if there is a significant family history and if the fibroid is increasing in size, it needs surgical management. Hope this helps.
