What Is A Large Crescent Shaped Bruise On The Side Of My Abdomen?

I have a large upside down crescent shaped bruise on the side of my abdomen. There is a hard white lump in the middle, and the bruised part looks like blood pooling beneath the suspiciously white, hard spot. I have not injured myself, certainly not bad enough to get such a bruise. What else could it be?
