What Is Causing Pain In Legs Of New Born While Stretching?

I just had a baby a few days ago. Today when I changed the nappy for her, I tried to pull her lower leg up, but I cannot straighten up to make both the lower and upper legs in one line. At most around 160 degree then she seems painful. Is this abnormal?

Hi, thanks for asking.
I can understand your concerns.
No, it is not abnormal. In fact it is normal for a newborn to have and angle between thigh and leg. So do not try to stretch it and do not worry. Its normal.
I hope I have helped you
Thank you
