What Is Causing Recurring Pain In Child's Butt Cheek In Isolated Area?
My 10 year old son who has a perfectly average weight according to his BMI. He is complaining that his left butt cheek hurts badly in an isolated area. It been happening for 2 days now. I also have had this re-occurring problem for years. Possible causes for someone his age???

The common cause pain in the cheek in an isolated area is eruption of teeth.
Warm saline gargling 2-3 times daily will help relieving pain.
An analgesic like ibuprofen twice daily adds to relief.
