Hi,

Your problem is a tapeworm infection of brain, called as neurocysticercosis (NCC). The common symptoms due to NCC are seizures and headache. In your case, the worm has died resulting in calcification and gliosis (scar formation), which can also result in seizures. Therefore, you need to continue eptoin (anti-epileptic drug) for long term.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist
