What Is The Appropriate Dosage Of Berirab 300IU For A Toddler With Third Degree Dog Bites?

Hi Dr. Bienenfeld, my daughter was admitted last Nov. 25 2013 because she was bitten by a dog on her head, she is 2yrs of age with 19kl. Her type of exposure was III Category and was given BERIRAB 300IU, VERORAB RABIES 0.5ML and TETAVAX 0.5ML AMP on the first day if admission. But on the 3rd day which is the 2nd VERORAB RABIES injection, BERIRAB 300IU was given to her. is there any dangerous or alarming side effects?

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Berirab 300 I U available in 2 ml after post exposure in severe bite .
As in your daughter ,your doctor took every precaution and on both side he administer verorab as well as berirab 300 .
As drug don't have any side effect so need not to worry and take these injections according to your doctor advice.
Good luck,
Dr.HET
