What Is The Cause Of Back Pain, Fever, Sore Chest, Runny Nose And Cough?
Hi there, so a few days ago a felt extremely exhausted. When I woke up I had a light cough. Yesterday I felt terrible. I was coughing, had a sore chest and throat, runny nose, back pain, and a fever. I tried taking tylonel and nothing. I feel weak and getting progressively worse. What should I do?
Hi, thanks for posting your concern in the HCM. The symptoms suggest that you have got both upper and lower respiratory tract infection. To rule out pneumonia you will need to have a complete blood count, CRP, Xray Chest ( PA view) done. A detailed clinical examination combined with investigations will help to specify a final diagnosis. In case of a bad pneumonia, you may also need injectable antibiotics and in patient treatment. Taking only Acetaminophen will not hault the progression of the disease or development of complications. So, you should urgently consult your physician or a pulmonologist for further evaluation and management. For any further information please write back to us. Regards. Dr. Kaushik
