What Is The Cause Of Rash On Hands And What Is The Suggested Medication?

Hi Dr. Samuel, Recently I have skin hives, raised, pink, itchy rash on my hands. I am thinking it is from the seafood allerge. I want to buy antihistamine in the drug store. There are many kinds similar antihistamine. In my case which one I should get. One more thing, how do I differentiate this hives is from the contact or food? Thank you.

hi there.
1. acute urticaria manifests in the form of hives.
2. we term hives as urticarial wheals.
3. we can't differentiate the source of hives, since hives are symptoms not the signs of a particular trigger.
4. you can try any brand levocetrizine 10 mg once daily bed time, it's H2 blocker along with bipotastine 10 mg molecule in the morning, it's a H1 blocker.
5. apply any brand calamine lotion as soothing agent.
identify the trigger and try to avoid it.
this will give you permanent results.
