What Is The Cause Of Shoulder Pain Without Trauma?

I've been having pain in my left shoulder for about two weeks now. If I hold my arm close to my body and simply raise it up to the side of my head like I'm going to ponytail my hair it's okay but if I extend my arm out in front of me and reach for something it hurts down my arm. If I spread my arm out like a birds wing and try to lift it, my shoulder hurts. It hurts to get dressed and my shoulder makes a popping noise. I don't recall any injury to it.

This type of shoulder pain is due to compression od shoulder muscles known as rotator cuff. This thing called as impingement syndrome. I would recommend you to show to a physio and start short wave ditheremy. If symptoms don't improve than get an Mri done. Some time a steroid injection in shoulder also help.
