What Is The Healing Time For Blisters And Red Chin Occurred Due To The Application Of Undiluted Savlon?
Hi , I applied undiluted Savlon on my face to try to remove pimples on my chin . I woke up this morning with a red chin and blisters . I am aware that this is a Chemical burn but am very worried that this will scar my chin . Will it scar ? And if not, how long will it take to heal ? Please help !
I can understand your concern for the blisters and red chin occurred due to the application of undiluted savlon.
It may take 7-14 days varying upon depth of injury bay savlon. If it is only redness then it will be alright in next couple of days and if it is blister then may take upto 14 days to heal completely. Do not pinch, pop or scratch or even touch the area unnecessarily as it can cause aggravation of the rash. I suggest you to apply medium potency steroid cream application along with a antibiotic cream because are best effective in these condition. You can apply either mometasone or Fluticasone or cortisone cream mixed with fucidin or mupirocin cream.
Take care.
