What Is The Reason For Change In Bowel Movements Of Child?

My 2 1/2 yr old has been having frequent bouts of very foul smelling poops. It smells vomit like. The other day I noticed a bit of mucus in her stool as well. She does not seem bothered by this and has a good appetite. It seem everytime she eats something she poops right after. She does not have diarrhea. She did just get over a cold where she was very congested. Any ideas what this change in bowel could be?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
I can understand your concern.

It could be dysentery. Watch for any blood in the stool. A stool examination will help to identify the problem. Your doctor may prescribe antibiotics after a physical examination.

Zn and probiotics may help.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
