What Is The Reason For Swelling, Redness, Itching Below Knee?

Leg started swelling below the knee -- after several days, the lower part of the leg became red and itching. After

scratching,, sores broke out. The leg was warm to the touch and it is still swollen. This has been this way for 3 or

4 months. Have seen several doctors and they all seem interested in treating the symptoms - not concerned with

the original swelling. A CT scan was done and no abnormalaties showed up.

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
The swelling below the knee may be due to the filarial infection, if you have been to tropical area before, or deep vein thrombosis. You may need to have a color dopler, for diagnosis and treatment.
so i advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment. The cause is to be diagnosed first.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms diethyl carbamazine citrate, serratia peptidase, and ofloxacin .
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
