What Is The Remedy For Gastritis, Loose Stools And Abdomen Pain In A 6 Year Old?

My six year old has had stomach pain for the past two days. Though cyclopam , was prescribed and I have her one dose, she did not seem to have any relief. What do I do for the stomach pain. She also had a gassy stomach and loose stools. Is on antibiotic.

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,

As your child is having symptoms of gastritis, loose stools and pain abdomen it suggests me that your child may be having infective diarrhea.

As you have given cyclopam, it should bring down the pain as it acts on the smooth muscles of the stomach and reduces the pain.

For these symptoms I would like to suggest
1.Give ORS solution
2.Tab Ocid to reduce the symptoms of gastritis and pain associated with it.
3.Sporolac sachet in 100 ml of water should be given once in 4 hours.
4.Oral Bactoclav, 375 mg, twice daily for 5 days.

These medications will help to reduce the symptoms, if the symptoms persist even after this treatment, you should consult paediatrician for further evaluation.
