Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
Deep sharp pain will be felt in the hand immediately and swelling will follow soon after. It is important to treat swelling as soon as possible.
There might be some nerve compression that restricted the movement.
Rest and anti-inflammatory measures may decrease pain.
Compression bandage is also used.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
