Wait my dear do not hurry in starting medication. What I perceived from above narration is that you are doing blood sugar levels at wrong times and thus wrongly interpreting the results of the tests.

IT IS THE 2 HOUR POST LUNCH AND 2 HOUR POST DINNER SUGAR WHCIH IS TO BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION FOR STARTING UP MEDICATIONS AND NOT AFTER 1 HOUR, which expected to be that much high (225) even in normal indivisuals.
As your fasting BSL is completely in normal range ( in pre diabetic range we can say ) & 1 hour post lunch is 225 I dont think you will require any medication for the same.

The important thing is that you should undergo prper Blood sugar monitering test or modified glucose tolerance test whcih will further clear the picture regarding starting of medications. Also get your HBA1C done to confirm over all status of your sugar levels in previous 3 months.

Furthermore if at all you may need to start on medication voglibose would be the best choice which should be started with your physician's opinion.
But even before starting medications there are n number of ways of sugar control simply starting with proper diet. So kindly go for the said tests.
