What Is The Small White Patches On My Arm?

I was laying in bed and saw on my arm two very small white patches right next to each other. I have KP (chicken skin) so I thought nothing of it but soon realized it wasn t on my skin but under. I don t know what it is and I m very scared now, considering it might be AK or some other skin cancer. Please let me know if you can help in any way.

Hello,

As per your case history, you are having pityriasis alba. My treatment advice is -
1. Avoid sun exposure and use a good sunscreen lotion with SPF more than thirty.
2. Apply a tacrolimus 0.03 %ointment twice daily on the affected part.
3. Other treatment options are oral vitamin A, topical steroid cream given only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
