I have a chip on my talus bone about 5 weeks ago I have no pain or swelling just stiffness feeling...I haven t really gotten a straight answer as to how long it will heal. I don t have insurance so the doc I can afford I feel isn t very helpful. I m wearing a walking cam and was told I can t bear any weight on it but not sure for how long....how long does it take to heal and if I have no pain can I start putting weight on it?
Fracture might be uniting if callus can be seen. Consult your doctor for confirming callus and union.
Consulting your doctor walking cam should be removed and physiotherapy should be started. You can apply crepe bandage for support. Muscles will regain power after doing exercises, but need to be done early now.
Talus fracture are known for osteochondral lesion so you may need further MRI. Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
Wishing you good health.
Take care.
