What Is The Treatment For Wrist Pain Due To Ganglion Cyst?

I had a large ganglion cyst on upper wrist joint. Now it is 1 year after removal by surgery. But still i'm having severe pain as before. In MRI report it is given " There is STIR hyperintensity seen in dorsal aspect of 1st & 2nd carpo-metacarpal joints s/o edema (Post operative changes). No definite residual mass/cyst seen ". I'm not able to do physical activities due to pain while touching the spot/ while doing sideway motions. Please do help me.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
hi there
This seems to be a case of collection of blood or fluid in the gap created after removal of the ganglion .
If you are facing such a problem for such a long time then the remedy is to first get the edema aspirated along with local steroid injection.
If this does not help then revision surgery is the last option in which the entire mass has to be removed again followed by compression bandaging.
Good luck
