What Is The Treatment Of Intermittent Leg Cramps On The Left Inner Thigh?

I got a leg cramp on the left inner thigh. I sometimes do get that at night. But after a couple of days, the muscle pain goes away. But this time my muscle is still hurting. but what worries me the most is, after a week, I have 2 huge bruises now where my leg cramp was. Should I worry and go see a doctor or don t worry and eventually the pain and bruise will go away? And if I go see a specialist, what specialist do I go see? Please tell me.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management you can take analgesics like paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. We have to rule out possible causes like peripheral neuropathy and vascular diseases.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you all the best.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
