What Is Wrong If CT Scan Shows Focal Thickening Of Posterior Urinary Base?

My husband had a ct scan yesterday that shows focal thickening posterior urinary base. He did have brachotherapy in 2006. His Psa is very good. He can't urinate and is very constipated. He has an apt for a cystoscopy in 3 weeks. Should he wait so long. And what could be wrong.

Hi,
thanks for writing in HCM.
The CT needs to be correlated with the previous one.
If it is a new lesion or after resection it has now appeared it could be a recurrence.
It is safe to consult the urologist who is attending to your husband immediately.
The very fact he is symptomatic does suggest a problem.
Regards
