General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history of open hernia surgery repair with mesh as a second surgery on 24 th March 2014, getting chronic pains and wants o now the precautions to be taken and the diet to be followed for weight reduction:
I would suggest you the following:
GO slow on regaining the daily activities as it takes time for the body to heal the wounds created by any surgery.
3 weeks: full rest other than ambulation in house.
6 weeks: resume duties and light household work.
3 months: full recovery and regaining all the usual daily activities as before.
Full diet low in Carbohydrates and oils to reduce the weight as you want to, but the best is to get a list of foods and beverages that you can take by a Nutritionist as she is Specialist in the subject and guide you to get the proper results.
No weight lifting.
Laxative is constipation.
Keep away from people who viral or so. Coughing or any activity that causes increase in intra-abdominal pressure can cause the problems.
Consult your Surgeon to know the cause of the pain that you have and hence get the proper opinion and management if required.
