What These Red Itchy Bumps Are?

I have been getting (about two weeks) red itchy bumps that look like a bug bit by the second or third day. I know they are not bug bites. Here is how they begin: I start feeling a tingling on my skin and then an itch. At that point there is no sign of anything just the tingle and itch. By the second day a small red bump apprears and gets larger, more itchy and the skin around it gets all red and sore. Like it is spreading as an infection might. The bump gets worse and larger and more itchy until by several days it has formed a scab (probably from me scratching it) and stays that way for a week or two. They started under my arms - at least 6 welts under each. Then the groin area and stomach and back then to the back of my legs. I just got two more today on the stomach. The welts seem to be getting smaller, but they still itch as much. Also, all the welts still itch and cause discomfort. What in the world is happening?? Am I allergic to something or do I have something bad inside that trying to get out. Please help

hi;
what you are telling may or may not be allergic as allergic rash will come & even go by.Skin infections are difficult to treat if you don't see what it is .What i would suggest is consult a doctor to see what type of infection it is.Till then to reduce itching temporarily you can take tab-Cetrizine 10 mg one tablet at night ;apply an ointment containing anti fungal/antibiotic /steroid.It will help.
thanks

Hi!,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum,
probably you are suffering from scabies ...and what you require is a anti scabetic cream like permithrine 5% cream which needs to be applied full body below neck in the night ..and then repeat it after 7 days again.Along with this take tab cetrizine (10mg) daily at night .Wash all your clothes in hot water ...And if any body in your family has the same problem ,then they should also be treated.If your dont respond to this then consult a dermatologist .
