Welcome to hcm,
Continuous non productive dry cough for long periods has to be investigated. Before that she can be advised with latest antihistamine medications. Most often in old age cough is due non proper swallowing of food and due to the body's response to it is coughed out. Cough suppressant syrups can be tried
must be investigated
Xray chest pa view
Complete blood count ESR
C-reactive protein
Kindly review with these results hope this explains.
