What To Do For Severe Painful Cramps After Had Copper IUD?
I have a copper IUD that has been in for almost two years. My cramps are always painful for the first 4-5days of my cycle but this month it is much worse. Every time I have a BM or even movement of the bowels I have excruciating pain that stops me and makes it hard to breath. The pain woke me from sleep on day one of my cycle. I am at day 6 now and am still suffering with the same intensity of pain. Should I be running out to emerge?
Hi. It is likely that the IUD has been embedded in uterine wall or migrated out. Just a possibility from your history. It would be wise to undergo sonography and may be an x-ray to know the exact position of the Copper-T. At times I advise the removal of copper -T and see the results next month. Sonography would help to rule out other causes. A Clinical internal ( PV) examination by gynecologist does help.
