What To Do For Swollen Bruise On Thigh?

I fell really hard over a metal pole in the ground & I had a huge swollen bruise the size of my fist. It s been over 1 month & there s still a raised bump on my thigh. The swelling has gone down but it s not 100% better & it still hurts. What should I do?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
If you are able to bear the weight on your limb without much pain then a bone injury is unlikely. You need to continue with rest and ice . I suggest you to consult an orthopaedician nearby for a detailed examination. You can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain and inflammation. Avoid putting weight and rest well.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
