What To Do For Swollen Knee After Bumping Into A Board?

I ran into a board Friday hitting my knee. It swelled up right away. Now I notice that my leg and foot are swollen. I did have an ace bandage on it for a while, but that seems to make it feel worse. Should I be using hot or cold on the knee. I did use cold on it to begin with and have taken aleve and asprin.

Fracture is unlikely.
