What To Do For The Knot In The Bruise Which Is Sore And Itchy?

About a week and a half ago I had a box break, allowing the 50lb metal bar in it to hit my calf. It cut the skin, hurt to walk on for two days, and I had a really bad bruise come up. The bruise faded, however I have a large knot in the middle that the bruise is coming back around, more everyday. It is also red around the knot, very very sore, and itches. Any need for concern?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per your case history of a bruise, my treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesions as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like Fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like Levocetirizine twice daily for 7-10 days.

If the problem persists then consult a dermatologist.
