Hi. Welcome to Healthcare-Magic Greetings of the day
Presence of persistent fever one needs to rule out foci of infection. In majority the foci of infection could be either respiratory or urinary tract. I would suggest you to consult your Pediatrician for further assessment and evaluation.
Thanks for writing to health care magic. I can understand your concern. Does he have any associated complaints like cough, cold or burning urination or increased frequency of urination etc?
Investigations like CBC, CRP, Peripheral smear for malaria, urine examination may be ordered by your doctor after physical examination. Your child should be first investigated to identify the cause. Please intimate us if any investigations are made and what are the reports like?
Continue to ask further queries as required. Hope this helps. Take care. Dr Y V Siva Sankara Murty M.D.(Pediatrics) Associate Professor of Pediatrics
