What's Causing More White Discharge, Blood After Urination, No Periods In A PCOD Person With Unprotected Sex?
Hi, I haven't had a period since nov. 24th its now Feb. 14th and was having unprotected sex for about a year. I also have pcos I was diagnosed with it when I was 15. The past couple weeks I have had milky white discharge more than ever before. And also slightly noticeable red blood on toilet paper after urination but none in the toilet. I can't go for a doc. appt till march because I switched insurances. What could this be?
Hello, I would be happy to help with your question.
In women with PCOS, part of the problem is related to irregularity in terms of when you ovulate. When you do not ovulate, or ovulation is unpredictable, then your cycles are also unpredictable. In this setting, infertility concerns are also very common. The vaginal discharge and spotting might be related to a vaginal infection, the most common of which is a yeast infection. In these cases, it is reasonable to treat with an over the counter yeast medication while you wait to get into your doctor. But, I would consider calling the office and stating that you think you have either a vaginal or urinary infection and request that they see you much sooner!
I hope that this helps and good luck!
