When I Feed, The Milk Does Not Come

I have recently delivered a girl baby around 15 dyas ago. I am breast feeding my child. Some times i feel that the milk is too less. Some times she cries for milk and when i feed the milk does not come. I feel there is no enough of the milk. I take good food daily but still the milk is less. Can any body tell about how to increase the milk secretion

Hello

Thanks for the concern

Your diet is directly associated with milk production.

So you need to have a calorie rich diet which should have high fat and protein in it.

foods like dry nuts and fruits,Dry coconut, sweets, ghee, butter, fresh fruits, egg

, green leafy vegetables, full fat milk will help in milk production.

As you are lactating frequency of meals/eating should be increased.

Dont be tensed/stressed this decreases production.
Feed your baby every two hours.

So try these and enjoy your motherhood

Know the ways to breast feed the baby, I read a beautiful article about techniques of breast feeding here itself. I am not sure my baby is happy with my milk but I am at least put at ease, here is the link http://www.healthcaremagic.com/babymagic/babycare/supporting-document/Breast-feeding-techniques

since this is your first child you dont know how to feed, milk takes few days to develop and as your baby is suckling, there will be improvement in the production of milk

Do not worry yaar, it is just 15 days you delivered. Be little bonded with the baby. She requires your love and affection and automatically the baby shall be happy iwth the feeds
