Whether The Flush Variety Or Normal Niacin Should Be Ideal For Patient With High Cholesterol And Liver Upset?

I am not sure which Niacin product to use: the flush variety or normal. I believe we should be taking 100mg per day for optimal health. Is this the case?

My husband also has high cholesterol and not so good liver - which should he be taking. Thanks.

Hello

Thanks for the query

It is hard for me to tell if Niacin is indicated or not without going through your husband's lipid profile and liver function test. Niacin ( flush and normal) is contraindicated in deranged LFT. Please get back to me with the blood tests so that I can help you better

I hope I was of help

Regards
