Which Doctor Can Treat Numbness In Finger Due To Lipoma On My Left Forearm?

I have a lipoma on my left forearm, about 2" down from the elbow, right next to the ulna bone. I've had it for over two years d/t trauma. However, I'm now experiencing some numbness/tingling in my small finger. What type of surgeon should I go to? Will insurance over this? Thank you.

Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
It appears to be the cyst, because it is secondary to the injury. Of course if it is diagnosed it may be the lipoma.
The cyst grows and may invade the nearby nerve ulnar nerve, and can cause the pressure symptoms.
I advise you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have M.R.I. for diagnosis.
If there is no adhesion of the cyst with the nerve, they may give you confidence about the surgery.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days, and then periodically till the pain is under the control.
Avoid taking potato, other tubers, tomato, egg, chicken, and sea foods till the pains are completely controlled.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
