White, Sore Lump On Back Of Leg. No Previous Trauma. Can You Help?

Hi I have a big bruise on the back of my leg where the bend is, where my calf and thigh join. I didn't hit it or do anything , I'm a very active Showjumper and always active. I have a white lump in the middle of the bruise which sticks out a little and is sore to touch. My mum is very worried, as well as me. Can you help?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The bruise on the back of the leg can be due to a joint inflammation or a joint effusion. A direct examination and MRI scan will help in proper diagnosis of the lump.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
