Why Always Feeling Tired After Having Synthroid For Thyroid?

HI DOCTOR.. IM A 50 YEAR OOLD AFRICAN AMERICAN FEMALE WITH SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT MY THYROID.. IM CURRENTLY ON 112 MG. OF SYNTHROID BUT IM STILL FEELING TIRED, SLUGGISH AND CANT SEEM TO LOSE ANY WEIGHT..EVERYTIME I GET BLOODWORK, THEY TELL ME THAT MY LEVELS ARE FINE,NO WORRIES,YET IM STILL FEELING THE SAME TIRED,SLUGGISH,MISERABLE FAT SELF... IM MISERABLE.. DO U SUGGEST MAYBE I SEE AN ENDOCRONOLOGIST.. MAYBE HE CAN SHED SOME LIGHT ON WHATS GOING ON... I CANT SEEM TO GET ANY ANSWERS FROM MY FAMILY DOCTOR WHO SAYS IM FINE..I DONT FEEL FINE...ALSO,I HAVE BEEN HAVING BURNING IN MY LEFT FOREARM FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW OFF AND ON.. I VE HAD 3 MOS. OF PHSICAL THERAPY, WHICH I WAS PUT IN TRACTION AND HAVE ALSO HAD AN MRI,A STRESS TEST,AND ITS DETERMINED ITS NOT MY HEART.. I HAVE CERVICAL SPINAL STENOSIS,WHICH IN TURN IS CAUSING THIS BURNING IN MY LEFT ARM ONLY... I STARTED INJECTIONS IN MY NECK AND HAVE HAD 3..MY LAST ONE WAS IN DECEMBER OF 2013 AND THE BURNING QUIT FOR AWHILE...ITS COME BACK WITHIN THE LAST 2 WKS. AND I HATE TO GO BACK TO PAIN MANAGEMENT BUT I MIGHT HAVE TO AS THIS BURNING IS ANNOYING...ITS RANDOM AND I NEED SOME RELIEF.. I WAS STARTED ON AMRIX IN DECEMBER AND IT HELPED I GUESS TO CALM THINGS DOWN BUT I RAN OUT OF THE SCRIPT AS ITS NEW TO THE MARKET... I HAVE TO GO TO THE OFFICE FOR ANOTHER SCRIPT,BUT I WAS CURIOUS AS TO WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? ID APPRECIATE ANY FEEDBACK AND THANKS FOR LISTENING....

Hi, welcome to HCM, since your thyroid tests are normal now, your present symptoms of sluggishness and inability to lose weight are not due to Thyroid deficiency.
You can try Gabapentin/ Pregaba along with high dose B-12 for your cervival spine induced burning. Another useful drug is amytryptaline---regards
