Why Am I Having Pain In My Knuckles?

I have sjorgren's syndrom and lupus. My knuckles out of now where today feel like I punched a wall, but it is coming and going. Is this a side effect of either of these diseases? It came out of no where today. I have no swelling present or bruising. I also know I did not hit anything to make it feel this way.
