Why Am I Having Pain In Upper Part Of Stomach Which Worsens After Having Food?

Hi I am having pain in my upper part of my belly right under my breast area. When I eat it gets worse and I feel like I have to take a bowel sometimes it comes out runny and sometimes it don't come out at all. What could this be? I also have chills and it has been going on for two days.

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, it seems that you might be having gastritis.

Following precautions will be helpful :-
1.Avoid spicy and oily foods.
2.Avoid being empty stomach for long periods.
3.Avoid mental and emotional stress.
4.Avoid smoking and alcohol, if any.
5.Avoid self medications, especially pain killers and steroids.
6.Drink lots of water daily.
7.Eat light meals prepared under hygienic conditions.
8.Avoid excessive gas producing foods like peas, cabbage, legumes, etc.

You can take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with Domperidone 30mg.

Also get your stool examined for any infection or parasitic infestation.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
