Why Did I Contract Gardnerella Vaginitis And Have Low Pelvic Pain?

I have been diagnosed with gardnerella vaginalis. This is the 3rd time in 2 1/2 months. I have taken the prescription
vaginally x2. I have one sexually partner, was checked for gonarreha (negative). I am 57 active and healthy.
This is new for me. I also am presenting with low pelvic pain. I start a new oral prescription tomorrow.

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Gardnerella vaginalis (bacterial vaginosis) is not an infectious disease & occurs due to altered vaginal flora may be due to frequent douching/overuse of antibiotics.
Wish you good health.
Regards.
