Why Is My Mother Getting Hot Flushes ?

hi, my mum is 78 and has started experiencing hot flushes over the past month, she thinks its due to having the flu jab two months ago, this was the first time she has had the jab, is there any connection, or reason for hot flushes at her age?

Hot flushes usually occur, around menopausl time (It is due to the estrogen withdrawal) and it is unlikely to at this age and also may not be due to the flu jab. Some times thyroid problems and vasomotor symptoms due to adrenergic imbalance can mimic a hot flush. Any how i would suggest you to get her thyroid functions tested.
